PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane MacGowan (ranked 1129 p4p, 154 weight class) and Tyreke Mechanic (ranked 1542 p4p, 209 weight class). MacGowan comes to the cage accompanied by The Pogues - Streams of Whiskey. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mechanic gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and MacGowan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
MacGowan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mechanic's hands.
Mechanic looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? MacGowan is fending him off so far but Mechanic persists. Nope, MacGowan circles away and we're back to standing.

Mechanic throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent MacGowan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shane MacGowan will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shane MacGowan.
