Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between I Hate Work (ranked 3053 p4p, 270 weight class) and Kalevi Koski (ranked 3505 p4p, 296 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kalevi Koski was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, I Hate Work!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kalevi Koski!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Work throws a series of punches but Koski moves out of range.
We've been told by Work's head coaches at 3Band MMA ($800/week) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Work keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Koski.
Work throws a right and a left that both miss.
Work looks to land a left hand but Koski moved out of range nicely.
Koski counters with a body kick.

It looks like I Hate Work has been cut.
Good leg kick by Koski there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kalevi Koski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Koski throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A big left from Koski misses.
Work works over Koski's head and body with a nice combination.
A jab from Koski misses.
Koski blocks a head kick by Work.
Work scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sloppy strikes from Work. Those never looked like landing.
Koski tries a quick counter leg kick but Work is wise to it.
Work tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Koski drops Work with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Work looks back up at him and smiles so Koski waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Work is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Koski lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Work up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Koski from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Work's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
