Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuvraj Singh (ranked 1433 p4p, 152 weight class) and Marv Ellis (ranked 2309 p4p, 251 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marv Ellis!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Nice straight punches there by Singh. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Singh.
Ellis swings for the body but Singh moves out of range.
Ellis throws a jab when Singh was well out of range.

and Ellis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Singh swats away the attempt to clinch by Ellis.
Ellis doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

A slapping leg kick lands for Ellis.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ellis has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Singh throws a nice looking combination but Ellis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

We've been told by Singh's head coaches at mickeyharts the greatest that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Ellis's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Singh connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ellis scrambles back to his feet.

Singh lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ellis backwards.

Ellis is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Singh is defending well.
Singh scores with a shot to the side of Ellis's head.
Singh blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Singh struggles to land a body shot inside as Ellis controls his hands.
Ellis has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Singh is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Singh drops Ellis with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ellis looks back up at him and smiles so Singh waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Ellis is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ellis bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Singh comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Ellis falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Ellis was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Yuvraj Singh!
