Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Diggs (ranked 966 p4p, 110 weight class) and Parker Lewis (ranked 2650 p4p, 282 weight class). The key to victory for Robert Diggs has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Diggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Parker Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diggs takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Diggs throws a big shot that misses.
Lewis misses with an attempted mid kick.
Lewis blocks a jab.
Lewis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Diggs throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Parker Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lewis shoots in and bounces Diggs off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Diggs keeping moving, preventing Lewis from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Diggs seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Lewis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Diggs looking for a sweep. Not yet Diggs, not yet.
Lewis is working Diggs over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Diggs has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lewis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Diggs lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Lewis looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Diggs has picked Lewis up and slammed him! Lewis can't keep hold of the triangle and Diggs manages to pass to side control!

Lewis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Diggs sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Lewis is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

A close round but Parker Lewis will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lewis tries to land a front kick but Diggs steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Lewis wants to slow Diggs down by chopping away at his legs.
Lewis moves out of range of the strikes.
Diggs takes a kick to the side of the head.
Diggs moves out of range as Lewis throws a body kick.

Lewis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Diggs napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Lewis pushes down on Diggs's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Lewis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diggs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lewis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Diggs's guard.
Lewis wants to pass the guard but Diggs is defending well.
Lewis has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Diggs is trying to get back to full guard.
Lewis winds up and cracks Diggs with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Diggs makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Diggs.
Diggs manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lewis manages to get himself to full guard.

Lewis is trying to control the position but Diggs postures up.
Diggs controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Diggs working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Diggs makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Parker Lewis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lewis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lewis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Diggs swings for the body but Lewis moves out of range.

Diggs waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lewis.
Lewis tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Diggs keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Lewis lands a nice looking kick to the body. Diggs takes a step back to recover.

Diggs scores with a nice right hand.
Diggs lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The fighters circling - Diggs throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Horrible takedown attempt by Diggs or perhaps it was just good defense by Lewis, which made it look bad.

Lewis takes the fight into the clinch.
Diggs misses with a punch on the inside.
Lewis is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Diggs is defending well for now.

Diggs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Parker Lewis is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Nice uppercut lands for Diggs. That snapped Lewis's head back.
Lewis tries to clinch up but Diggs circles away and keeps his distance.
Diggs sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Diggs throws an overhand right that lands on Lewis's shoulder, as Lewis tries to avoid the shot.
Diggs wants to clinch up but Lewis keeps it at a distance.
Lewis feints the counter takedown.
Diggs jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lewis checks the leg kick nicely there.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lewis.

Parker Lewis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lewis wants to clinch up but Diggs keeps it at a distance.
Lewis throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Lewis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Diggs avoids it really well and circles away.

Diggs throws a lazy right hand but Lewis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lewis lands a head kick. Diggs smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Diggs throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lewis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Diggs finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Lewis closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Diggs quickly recovers to half guard.

I would just about give that final round to Parker Lewis.
Well Lewis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
