PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antoni Kristofer Hong (ranked 2155 p4p, 284 weight class) and Szandor Storm (ranked 1736 p4p, 230 weight class). Hong comes into the arena with Super Power blaring out of the sound system. Storm has chosen Pantera - 5 Minutes Alone as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm tries a head kick but it misses.
Hong throws a good cross that connects.
Storm misses with a combination
and Hong counters with a three punch combo that has Storm backing up. Storm nods at Hong to acknowledge the strikes.
Storm swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Hong to counter with a crisp jab.
Storm ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hong moves away.

Storm falls off balance throwing a combination
and Storm takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Storm wants to clinch.
As Storm looks to move away, Hong throws a big counter combo but Storm just gets out of the way.
Hong lands a glancing blow to the side of Storm's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hong scores with a sloppy right hand. Storm should have avoided that one.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Storm fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Storm has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hong avoids the head kick by Storm.
Hong bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Storm's head.
Storm drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Storm tries to close the distance and clinch but Hong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hong fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Storm on the side of the head.
Storm throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Hong counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Storm moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Antoni Kristofer Hong has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Storm lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Storm takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hong moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Storm needs to keep his hands up - Hong had a free shot at his head there.
Storm throws a lazy body kick
and Hong counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Storm is rocked!

Storm misses with the combination.
Hong throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Storm on the side of the head.
Storm is still on wobbly legs! Can Hong finish him?
Hong steps in with a hook that catches Storm right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Hong follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Storm looks absolutely devastated.
