PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Very Rounded (ranked 1906 p4p, 246 weight class) and Zarko Zidane (ranked 2182 p4p, 270 weight class). Zidane is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sharp Dressed Man. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rounded closes this distance looking for a takedown but Zidane circles away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zidane accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rounded working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zidane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zidane manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It looks like Zidane might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Zidane connects with a nice short shot to Rounded's temple.

Zidane is pressing down on Rounded's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rounded is holding on for now.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Zidane lands a nice short elbow.
Zidane winds up and cracks Rounded with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Zidane scores with a big shot! Rounded's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Rounded! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
