PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jarkko Kilpi (ranked 2768 p4p, 290 weight class) and Simbo Klice (ranked 5563 p4p, 544 weight class). Kilpi comes to the cage accompanied by Solid Base - I Like It. Klice is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by THE D.O.C. - it's funky enough. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilpi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Klice circles away.
Klice lands a jab.

It looks like Jarkko Kilpi has been cut.

Kilpi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Klice's guard.
Kilpi slips nicely into half guard.
Klice wants to get back to full guard.
Klice is still trying to improve position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kilpi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Klice is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Klice has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Klice is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kilpi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kilpi's back!

Kilpi rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Klice landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Kilpi is refusing to be controlled, as Klice sits in half guard.

Kilpi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Klice wants to pass to mount but Kilpi is defending the position.
Kilpi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kilpi.

Kilpi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Klice is working away from the top position though.
Kilpi is doing well to control the position and prevent Klice from advancing to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Klice lands a nice short elbow.

Simbo Klice decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
