Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alfonso Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Belmans!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Belmans gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Belmans tightens his grip and picks Reilly up, before dumping him to the ground. Reilly manages to land in guard.
Reilly is wriggling around but Belmans manages to pass to half guard.

Belmans looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Belmans stalling.
Reilly wants to control but Belmans is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Belmans perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Reilly really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Belmans wants to pass the guard but Reilly is defending well.

Belmans is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Reilly sees it coming and defends easily.
Belmans throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Reilly pushes Belmans off but Belmans dives into side control.
Reilly manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Belmans is looking to improve his position.

Belmans moves into full guard.
Belmans wants to sweep but no luck.
Belmans is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Belmans not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Belmans is thwarting Reilly's attempts to control the position.

Reilly is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Still in half guard, Belmans seems content to control.
Belmans passes to side control.
Belmans is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Reilly's shoulder. That is not cool.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Reilly dodges the ground and pound from Belmans.

Belmans thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Reilly trying to remain calm as Belmans controls from the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Belmans dominated that round.
That's time! Reilly's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Reilly is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Reilly tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Belmans paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Belmans is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Reilly's half guard.
Belmans throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Belmans keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Belmans passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Reilly!

Reilly is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Reilly is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Belmans can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Reilly is looking to escape.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Belmans biding his time, controlling Reilly.
Belmans has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Belmans wants to control but Reilly is keeping busy.

Belmans is persistently looking for the submission but Reilly is defending it well.
Reilly tries to roll but Belmans sticks to his back.

Belmans is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Reilly is defending well though. Belmans let's go of the attempt for now.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Belmans is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Reilly has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Belmans misses with punches from the back.

Reilly wants to get back to his feet.

Frank Belmans showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Some bone on bone action there as Reilly checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Reilly is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Belmans rushes Reilly and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Reilly misses with an elbow over the top.
Reilly stalling against the cage.

Belmans lands a takedown into guard.
Belmans sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Belmans gets to his feet. Reilly looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Belmans drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Belmans slows the pace down.
Reilly pushes Belmans away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Belmans gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Belmans stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Belmans closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Reilly quickly recovers to half guard.

Reilly pushes Belmans off and gets back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Belmans shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Belmans throws an elbow that misses. Reilly uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Belmans's guard. Nice move by Reilly!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Belmans is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Reilly defends well.
Reilly wants to pass the guard but Belmans is keeping the position.
Belmans working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Reilly.

Reilly throwing strikes but missing.
Reilly has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Belmans escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reilly gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Belmans has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Reilly is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Reilly misses with a short punch on the inside.

Belmans has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Reilly clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Reilly tries to roll but Belmans sticks to his back.

Reilly is working hard here to advance position.
Belmans really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Reilly.
Reilly trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Reilly is trying to stand back up.
Belmans trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Reilly doesn't escape.

And that's the end of the fight!
Frank Belmans comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Belmans has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
