The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cesar Chavez misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Beton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Beton sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Cesar Chavez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Beton defends it easily.
Beton slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Cesar Chavez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

You can see the frustration on Cesar Chavez 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Beton has an Americana. Cesar Chavez didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Beton is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Beton hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Jos Beton was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
