PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathaniel Strong (ranked 6493 p4p, 580 weight class) and Rivo Riitta (ranked 6819 p4p, 595 weight class). Strong kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Clique. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strong dodges the punch combination from Riitta.

A head kick lands from Strong that sends Riitta to the canvas. Riitta tries to scramble back to his feet but Strong brings him back down into side control.

Riitta is rocked!

It looks like Rivo Riitta has been cut.
Strong tries to advance to mount but can't.
Strong in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Strong throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Riitta is trying to control Strong's posture but Strong avoids it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Strong wants to stand but Riitta is controlling his arm.
Riitta manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Riitta is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Strong is just riding it out for now. Riitta eventually gives up the hold.

Riitta is trying to control. Strong wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Riitta is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Strong has managed to free his arm - good work.

Riitta seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Strong is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
