Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Winters (ranked 23872 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nataniel Byczynski (ranked 5701 p4p, 0 weight class). Byczynski comes into a darkened arena with his song building. War is My Destiny kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jonathan Winters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 50 - 52 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nataniel Byczynski!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winters defending well as Byczynski loads up on a big left hand.

Winters blocks a head kick by Byczynski.

Byczynski throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Winters was covering up waiting for the punch and Byczynski finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Byczynski chips away with some ground and pound.
Byczynski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Winters is keeping the position for now.
Byczynski is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Winters throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Winters has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Byczynski off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Winters really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Byczynski tries to land a knee to the head but Winters blocks with his arms.

Winters wants to break free but Byczynski has control.

Byczynski using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Winters has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Winters is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Byczynski creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Winters's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Winters goes for a takedown in the clinch but Byczynski prevents it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Winters creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Winters has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Byczynski chips away with some ground and pound.
Byczynski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Winters. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Winters lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Byczynski has Winters pulled in close to control his posture.
Byczynski's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Winters drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Byczynski dives on top into guard.

Byczynski keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Winters's head.

Winters escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Byczynski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Byczynski works over Winters with some ground and pound from guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nataniel Byczynski dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looks like Jonathan Winters has been cut.
