PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brownie Anderson (ranked 2956 p4p, 386 weight class) and Ezio Franco (ranked 3304 p4p, 0 weight class). Franco is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: BASS. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brownie Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ezio Franco!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Anderson.
Anderson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Franco tries to clinch up.
Anderson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Anderson wants it to stay on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Franco enables Anderson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Franco manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Franco thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Franco can't keep his opponent in guard - Anderson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Anderson in particular looking to stall.
Franco tries to kick Anderson off in order to stand up. Anderson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brownie Anderson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Anderson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
