Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Lind (ranked 2760 p4p, 360 weight class) and Max Mason (ranked 3341 p4p, 422 weight class). Lind comes to the cage accompanied by Spit Out the Bone. Max Mason is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Lind dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Mason misses the target.
Lind throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

It looks like Nick Lind has been cut.
The fighters circling - Mason throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lind is looking to counter the offense by Mason and move into the clinch.
Lind moves forwards but Mason connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Lind tries to clinch there but Mason circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lind displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mason throws out the jab.

Mason throws the left hand but Lind avoids the punch easily.
Mason checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mason has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Mason lunges at Lind with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lind's hand.
Mason avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mason thuds his right hand into Lind's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

and Mason counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Oh Lind is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mason throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Lind stumbling backwards into the cage! Lind bounces back off the cage towards Mason, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Mason lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Mason celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
