The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fillbanks is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Fillbanks walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Fillbanks goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Punk has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fillbanks but great work by Punk.

Punk's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Fillbanks counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Punk is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
