Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bill Hanson (ranked 2750 p4p, 131 weight class) and Dohn Jodson (ranked 1811 p4p, 91 weight class). Hanson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band- Mama's Fried Potatoes. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson throws a leg kick that is checked
and Jodson counters with a nice uppercut.
Jodson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hanson throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Jodson counters with a straight right hand.
We've been told by Hanson's head coaches at Big dawg that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hanson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jodson's sensitive parts.

Jodson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hanson.

It seemed like Jodson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Hanson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jodson throws a body punch but Hanson moves out of range.
Hanson scores with a one two! Jodson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hanson throws the kick towards the body but Jodson avoids it.
Hanson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jodson.
Hanson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jodson's head.

Jodson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jodson there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Jodson counters with a head kick that drops Hanson to the mat! Hanson scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Hanson is rocked!
Jodson finds Hanson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Hanson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Jodson lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Hanson will be OK.
