The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grotin shoots in and gets a takedown into Mcmillan's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mcmillan wants to stand up but Grotin is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grotin wants to control from the top but Mcmillan keeps moving.
Grotin stops Mcmillan from standing up.
Mcmillan keeping moving, preventing Grotin from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcmillan is looking to sweep but instead, Grotin has passed into half guard.

Mcmillan has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Grotin is on him like a limpet, forcing Mcmillan back against the cage.
Grotin misses with a punch to the body.

Grotin has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Mcmillan is trying to keep an underhook but Grotin manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Mcmillan wants to stand back up but Grotin manages to pass into side control.
Mcmillan is not content to let Grotin control the position.
Mcmillan sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Mcmillan won't allow Grotin to pass to mount.

Mcmillan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Grotin pulls his head out easily.
Grotin thows a huge punch but Mcmillan dodges it nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grotin wants to take a breather but Mcmillan is having none of it.
Mcmillan tries to get to full guard but Grotin has control of the leg.

Mcmillan wants to improve his position but Grotin is controlling well.
Grotin tries to pass to full mount but Mcmillan defends it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Grotin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mcmillan is pushing Grotin's head away, looking to escape. Grotin manages to hold on to the position though.

Grotin decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mcmillan to his feet.

Mcmillan is trying to control Grotin's posture but Grotin avoids it.
Mcmillan wants to get back to his feet but Grotin drags him back down.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Grotin throws a strike aimed at the side of Mcmillan's head but Mcmillan avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grotin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mcmillan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Mcmillan wants to get back to his feet but Grotin passes into half guard.

Grotin seems to be working for a kimura but Mcmillan defends the submission attempt.

Grotin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Grotin blocks Mcmillan's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Grotin prevents Mcmillan from getting the reversal.
Mcmillan wants to hold on but Grotin pushes him away.
Grotin throwing strikes here but Mcmillan is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Grotin moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mcmillan has worked his arm free - good work by Mcmillan!

Mcmillan bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Grotin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mcmillan!

Grotin prevents Mcmillan from escaping the position.
Grotin is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mcmillan will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Mcmillan sneaks out the side door and pushes Grotin away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mcmillan takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Hyman Mcmillan has been cut.
Mcmillan tries to bum rush Grotin with a series of wild strikes but Grotin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Grotin! Mcmillan is backing up but he can't get away as Grotin lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Mcmillan and ends the fight. Great knockout.
