Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ted Williams (ranked 3035 p4p, 317 weight class) and Bright Heather (ranked 23394 p4p, 662 weight class). Williams comes to the cage accompanied by Cat Scratch Fever. Bright Heather is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danga de danga de dang - Williams scores with a four punch combination!
Williams lands a nice hook to Heather 's body. Heather takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Williams fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Heather shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Heather was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Heather wants to take his opponent's back but Williams doesn't allow it.

Heather jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Williams manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Heather tries to move to mount but Williams blocks the move with his legs.
Heather trying to control the action but Williams is working from the bottom.

Heather wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Williams, who protects the arm well.
Heather is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Williams has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Ted Williams decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
