The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Galley misses.
Lawler shoots in for a takedown but Galley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Galley! But no joy.
Galley takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lawler uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Galley.

Lawler gets the takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Lawler has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Galley is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Lawler yanks on the arm and Galley is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Lawler.
