Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brad Robertson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lodi Petmalu!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robertson goes for a double leg but Petmalu avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Petmalu continues to drive forward.

Robertson is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Rabid Dog that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Petmalu working his ground and pound in the gym.
Petmalu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robertson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Petmalu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lodi Petmalu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Robertson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Petmalu to the ground. Robertson is now in Petmalu's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Petmalu can do anything to dispel that myth.

Petmalu is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Robertson has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The strikes coming from Robertson are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

It looks like Lodi Petmalu has been cut.
Petmalu is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Robertson asserts his dominance and retains side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Robertson wants to control but Petmalu is keeping him busy.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Petmalu shoots in but Robertson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Robertson appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

and Robertson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Petmalu shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Robertson as he jumps to the side.
Brad Robertson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lodi Petmalu.
Robertson lands with a big right hook that stumbles Petmalu - he's out on his feet here! Robertson follows up with another monster hook that separates Petmalu from consciousness! Petmalu falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Robertson stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Brad Robertson!
An out of breath Brad Robertson thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
