Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris White (ranked 9448 p4p, 721 weight class) and Ryan Lock (ranked 24007 p4p, 785 weight class). Chris White has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Lock!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lock walks into a left hand.
White tries to bum rush Lock with a series of wild strikes but Lock uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

White darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Lock wants to improve his position but White is controlling well.
Lock controlling the position well.
Lock wants to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White throwing shots but Lock is blocking nicely.
Lock is looking to control White's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lock avoid being mounted?

That's one minute gone in the round.
White blocks the strikes from Lock.
White lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Lock manages to get to full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lock holds on and takes a little breather.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lock utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White stopping the sweep attempt from Lock.
Lock has his hands on White's head, controlling the position.

White decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Lock pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lock tries for a takedown but White sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
White swats away the attempt to clinch by Lock.
Lock shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says White as he avoids it easily.
White is looking for a counter combo.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lock on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
White wants to clinch.

Lock tries to sprawl but White drives through with a takedown into half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lock manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. White keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Lock goes for a takedown in the clinch but White prevents it.
Chris White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Lock.
White prevents the takedown attempt.
White jumps guard but Lock turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
White is pressed up against the cage. Lock has hold of a leg and is looking to drag White down to the mat. White avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

White rushes Lock and presses him up against the cage.

White breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

White closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lock to the mat! Lock manages to get full guard.
Lock tries to strike from the bottom.
White preventing the sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
White trying to control the position from guard on top but Lock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

White gets to his feet - Lock follows without any prompting.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lock closes the distance and clinches up with White, looking for a takedown. Lock pushes White against the cage but White circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

White instigates a clinch.
Lock tries to pull guard but White won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris White dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



White gets tackled into the cage by Lock. Lock maintains the clinch.

White escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lock darts in looking for a takedown but White gets double underhooks and turns Lock into the cage.
Lock misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lock moves out of range as White strikes.
White misses with a hook. Lock ducked under it nicely.
Lock shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as White sprawls well. White wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lock gets slowly back to his feet.
White tries to counter by clinching up but Lock breaks away and moves out of range.
Chris White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Lock.

White closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

White stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Chris White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

White shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lock is trying to defend but White finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Lock is trying to stand.

White is looking for a kimura but Lock is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for White to get the leverage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

White gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
A head kick misses from Lock.
White throws a series of punches but Lock moves out of range.
A solid body kick from White.
Lock shoots in but White avoids the takedown attempt easily.

White changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lock looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lock throws White to one side and escapes!
Chris White is winning the standup battle so far.

Chris White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lock wants to clinch up but White keeps it at a distance.
White keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lock is breathing heavily.
White moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Lock fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lock shoots for a takedown but White saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

White moves into the clinch.

White breaks the clinch.
White wants to clinch.

Lock is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
White ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lock moves away.
White throws a nice looking combination but Lock bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lock shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts White as he jumps to the side.

White shoots in and bounces Lock off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
White working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lock's head.
White wanted to stand there but Lock had control of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris White dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


White avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lock takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

White shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
White throws an elbow that misses. Lock uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in White's guard. Nice move by Lock!

White is wriggling around but Lock manages to pass to half guard.
White tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
White has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
White has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lock is working away from the top position though.

Lock is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and White defends it well.

Lock looking to pass the guard.

White is working an open guard so Lock takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
White stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
White scores with a three punch combo!
White lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
A combination from White does no damage.
White misses with a double jab.
Lock is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Lock tries to clinch up but White circles away and keeps his distance.
Lock fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
White throws a right hand that Lock ducks under and follows up with a left that Lock also avoids with ease.

White has managed to clinch.

Lock takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
White lands with a nice combination. Lock backs away looking to recover.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

White throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lock's waist but Lock gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing White off to one side.

White breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Some wild striking there from White.
Lock drops down looking to force a counter takedown but White defends it well.
Lock tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but White defends well and Lock ends up having to push White into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
White looks to land a right hand but Lock moved out of range.
White wants to clinch.

Lock tries to close the distance and clinch up but White swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lock fails with an attempt to clinch.

Lock gets caught napping as White dives in and scores a takedown. Lock manages to retain guard.

Lock working for a triangle but White defends it easily.

White stands and steps away. Lock gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Chris White is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
White misses with a series of wild punches.
Lock wants to counter with a clinch but White pushes him away.
Ryan Lock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

White closes the distance and pushes Lock back into the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chris White showed his dominance in that final round.
Well White has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
