Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Owen King (ranked 6412 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Greene (ranked 5907 p4p, 536 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Greene!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King drives through and clinches with Greene against the cage.

Greene tightens his grip and picks King up, before dumping him to the ground. King manages to land in guard.
King is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
King wants to stand but Greene is controlling the position.
Greene makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Greene postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Greene trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
King has momentary wrist control but Greene slips an elbow through the middle.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King keeping moving, preventing Greene from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Greene is working King over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Greene is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! King is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! King has escaped and now he's on top!

King is pushing down on Greene's leg trying to pass to half guard. Greene is fighting to maintain full guard but King has managed to sneak the leg through.

King is trying to work for a kimura but Greene is defending well.
Greene holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Greene fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging King to the ground. Greene is now in King's guard.
King wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Greene manages to pass to side control.

Danny Greene showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A relieved looking Danny Greene thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
