Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Konopka (ranked 5183 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ezio Franco (ranked 3913 p4p, 0 weight class). Franco comes into a darkened arena with his song building. BASS kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ezio Franco is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konopka stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Konopka throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Franco clinches.
Franco blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Konopka takes an elbow to the forehead.
Konopka swings wildly with an uppercut but Franco uses good head movement to avoid it.
Franco landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Franco connects with a massive knee from the clinch and Konopka goes down! Franco jumps into full mount looking to finish!
Konopka is rocked!
It looks like Pete Konopka has been cut.
Franco tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Oh Konopka is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Franco's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
More stalling from Franco.
Franco with more of the same as he continues to hold on.
Konopka seems to have got his legs back now.

Franco is continuing to stall.
The adventures of Franco the control monster continue. Boring.
Let's hope that Franco has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ezio Franco dominated that round.

Franco gets a clinch.
Konopka is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Franco to keep the fight standing.

Ezio Franco seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Franco creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Konopka's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Konopka drops to his knees and Franco pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
