Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Green (ranked 4870 p4p, 473 weight class) and DaQuan Zachary (ranked 8122 p4p, 590 weight class). Zachary has chosen Motorsport as his entrance music. DaQuan Zachary is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green avoids the head kick by Zachary.
Green has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Green tries to land a front kick but Zachary steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Zachary.
Zachary goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Zachary scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Jonathan Green has been cut.
Green tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Green moves into the clinch successfully.

Zachary breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Green shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Zachary napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Green cracks Zachary with a big elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Green is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Green is trying to get an arm triangle but Zachary is defending well.
Zachary wants to get back to his feet.

Green content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Green decides to stand back up.
Zachary lands a nice looking body kick.

Green gets a clinch.
Green is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Zachary to keep the fight standing.
Green blocks an elbow strike.
Green has Zachary pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Zachary manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Green is looking to stand up but Zachary isn't so interested in that idea.
Green has Zachary pulled in close to control his posture.

Zachary gets to his feet. Green looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A right-left combo lands from Zachary.
Green on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Green closes the distance and clinches.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Zachary.
Zachary throws a head kick but Green moves out of range.
Zachary lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Green shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Zachary defends it nicely.
Zachary throws a head kick that half lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zachary throws a leg kick which misses Green's front leg but catches the back leg as Green tries to avoid it.

Green with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Green keeps control of Zachary as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Green is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Zachary is defending well.

Green manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Green seems keen to control Zachary's posture.
Green lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Green decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Zachary, up you get!
Zachary throws a series of punches but Green avoids them all with ease.
Green looks to land a combination but Zachary avoids it well.

Green has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Zachary uses from the top position.

Green is looking to cinch up a triangle. Zachary throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Green's body to avoid the submission. Green has instead reached around Zachary's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Green arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
