The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLoughlin shoots and misses

and Andrews counters by clinching up.
McLoughlin lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Andrews is looking for a takedown.

McLoughlin has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Andrews is trying to keep an underhook but McLoughlin manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Andrews knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McLoughlin on the ground.
McLoughlin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

McLoughlin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Andrews is just riding it out for now. McLoughlin eventually gives up the hold.
Andrews is looking for a sweep. McLoughlin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McLoughlin in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Andrews tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from McLoughlin!
