Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bo Angliese (ranked 1073 p4p, 134 weight class) and Head Coach (ranked 1463 p4p, 172 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bo Angliese!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 19 - 3, fighting out of New York, Head Coach!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coach dodges the punch combination from Angliese.
A swing and a miss from Angliese.
Angliese misses the jab.
Angliese rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Coach counter with a right hand.
Coach connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Coach lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Angliese at a distance.
Angliese uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Coach has time to react.
Bo Angliese seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Angliese throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Despite the aggression on Coach's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Coach takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A looping hook to the body misses from Angliese. Coach does a little dance to reset his feet.
Angliese fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Coach moves into range and clinches up with Angliese.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Angliese tries to throw a body punch but Coach avoids it by throwing Angliese back against the cage.
Angliese can't find room to land a body shot as Coach controls the action.
Angliese wants to break free but Coach has control.

Angliese presses Coach against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Angliese trying to control the position but instead, Coach has worked for underhooks and has pushed Angliese into the cage.

Coach drags the fight down to the ground.
Coach is trying to keep Angliese in close.

Let's hope that Coach has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Angliese wanted to stand there but Coach had control of the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Coach pulls Angliese in to control the position.

Coach looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Angliese stands up and waves to Coach to follow him.
Angliese works over Coach's head and body with a nice combination.
A slow jab from Angliese misses its intended target.
Coach counters with a body kick.
Angliese scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Coach throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Angliese counters with a straight right hand.
Angliese lands with a good body shot.
Angliese waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Coach.
Angliese jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Coach has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Coach connects with a nice looking jab.
Coach misses with a body punch
and Angliese counters with a stiff right hand.
Angliese walks into a jab.
Coach throws a combination. Angliese tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Coach slips a jab from Angliese.
It seemed like Coach was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Coach cracks Angliese with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Angliese counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Angliese lands a jab to Coach's midsection.

Angliese connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Coach's hands.
Angliese ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Coach moves away.
Angliese misses with a left hand
and Coach finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Coach thuds a left hand into Angliese's body.

Angliese throws a combination. Coach tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Angliese looks to land a left hand but Coach moved out of range nicely.
Coach swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Angliese definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Coach throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Angliese sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Angliese swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

and Angliese cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Good shot there by Angliese.
Angliese blocks a head kick by Coach.
Coach throws a series of strikes that have Angliese backpedaling.
Angliese on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bo Angliese dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Angliese throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coach manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Coach tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Coach tries a knee to the head but Angliese blocks it.
Angliese lands a shot to the body.
Angliese wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Coach has him pressed against the cage.
Angliese wants to stall.
Angliese tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Coach lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Angliese backwards.
Angliese wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Coach is pulling down on Angliese's head to control his posture.
Coach is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Coach is looking for a triangle but Angliese pushes his legs off easily.

Coach is trying to hold Angliese in close to prevent damage but Angliese has managed to pass into half guard.
Angliese tries to stand but can't do so whilst Coach controls his leg.

Angliese is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Angliese lands a jab to Coach's midsection.
Coach lands with an uppercut that bounces Angliese off the cage and back into range.
Angliese throws a combination that misses
and Coach counters with a slapping leg kick.
Coach fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Angliese manages to avoid it.
Angliese is looking to counter punch.
Bo Angliese is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Both fighters circling a little - Coach finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Angliese misses with a jab, cross combination.
And Coach responds with a good body kick, but Angliese manages to step out the way in time.
Coach throws a lazy uppercut
and Angliese counters with a one-two to the body.
Angliese will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Coach tries to land a leg kick but Angliese saw it coming and moves away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Angliese smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Coach ducks under a wild hook from Angliese.

Angliese is looking for a counter combo.
Coach throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Angliese sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Coach just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromAngliese.

Angliese throws a right hand that Coach ducks under and follows up with a left that Coach also avoids with ease.
Angliese lands with a kick to the temple. Coach shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Coach lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Coach.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bo Angliese will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Coach ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Angliese scores with a one two! Coach had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Angliese walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Coach, as that shot connected.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bo Angliese is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Coach bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coach working the ground and pound but Angliese is defending the strikes.
Head Coach has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Coach misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Coach fails to land a wild elbow strike.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bo Angliese.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Angliese, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
