Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Douglas (ranked 5087 p4p, 494 weight class) and Eddie Rayne (ranked 5023 p4p, 484 weight class). Rayne has chosen Thunderstruck as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Douglas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddie Rayne!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rayne will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rayne stalks Douglas and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Douglas's face. Douglas staggers backwards, shaken.
Douglas takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rayne feints a jab promting Douglas to slip. Rayne then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Douglas slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Douglas throws a combination that misses

and Rayne counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Douglas!


Douglas is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rayne stands up out of the half guard.
Douglas tries to close the distance and clinch but Rayne swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sloppy strikes from Douglas. Those never looked like landing.
It seemed like Rayne was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Douglas throws a right and a left that Rayne avoids nicely.
Douglas looks to land a combination but Rayne avoids it well.
Douglas tries to clinch up.
Rayne showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Douglas.
Douglas throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
It seemed like Rayne was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Douglas tries to clinch but Rayne is having none of it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rayne! But no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Douglas misses with a lunging right hand
and Rayne counters with a left to the body.
Rayne swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rayne connects with a superb combination that knocks Douglas out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Rayne before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Douglas!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Eddie Rayne!
Eddie Rayne seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
