Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rui Vidal (ranked 3696 p4p, 451 weight class) and Mike Johnson (ranked 4806 p4p, 534 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Vidal might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Xutos e Pontapés - Quem é Quem. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rui Vidal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Hemmingworth and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Vidal in his tracks.
Vidal swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Vidal bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Johnson's head.
Vidal throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Johnson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Johnson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Vidal waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Johnson.
Johnson sizes up Vidal with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Rui Vidal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Johnson is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Vidal with a body shot.
Johnson gets a clinch.
Johnson lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnson wants to pass to mount but Vidal is defending the position.
Johnson lands strikes from half guard.

Johnson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Vidal is not content to let Johnson control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Vidal haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Vidal wants to get back to his feet.
Johnson is trying to control. Vidal wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Johnson stalling.
Johnson winds up and cracks Vidal with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Vidal really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Johnson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Vidal is rocked!
Johnson is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Vidal is hurt! He's hurt bad - Johnson fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Vidal from any more punishment! Congratulations to Johnson! Great finish!
