The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Villenueva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Longhas's guard.
Longhas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Longhas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Villenueva on the ground.
Longhas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Longhas looking for subs off his back but Villenueva has passed one foot through into half guard.
Villenueva is pressing down on Longhas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Longhas is holding on for now.
Villenueva is looking to take a break and control but Longhas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Villenueva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Longhas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Longhas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Villenueva is pressed up against the cage. Longhas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Villenueva down to the mat. Villenueva avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Villenueva should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Longhas is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Villenueva pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Villenueva has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Longhas clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

It looks like Harry Longhas has been cut.
Villenueva wants to control but Longhas is keeping busy.

Let's hope that Villenueva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Villenueva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Longhas as he jumps to the side.
Villenueva darts in looking for a takedown but Longhas gets double underhooks and turns Villenueva into the cage.
Longhas is looking to clinch but Villenueva is avoiding it.
Longhas goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

It looks like Charlie Villenueva has been cut.
Longhas is looking to chop away at Villenueva's legs.
Longhas moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Longhas throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Villenueva colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Longhas as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Villenueva is left battered and dazed whilst Longhas and his camp cheer!
