Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clair Black (ranked 7102 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Klint (ranked 5687 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clair Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Klint!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Francis DeMontford and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Black in side control, throwing shots but Klint defends.

Black is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Klint knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Klint tries to buck Black off but Black is having none of it.

Klint sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Klint has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Black is working away from the top position though.
Klint really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Black. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Black drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Black jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Klint isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Black stacks Klint on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Black!

Klint takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Black is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Klint has escaped the position, nice work there.
Klint is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clair Black dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


No luck with that takedown attempt from Klint.
Klint avoids the head kick by Black.

Klint tries to close the distance and clinch up but Black swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Black was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Klint misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Clair Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Klint.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Black displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Klint.
Black wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Klint is trying to maintain a safe position but Black gets an underhook and turns Klint into the cage.
Black has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Klint avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Black keeps control of Klint as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Klint breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Black stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Black wants it to stay on the feet.
Klint is breathing heavily.
Klint looks to land a combination. Black sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Klint throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Black counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Klint is looking to stand back up but Black counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Klint.

Black landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Black working over Klint with some ground and pound. Klint looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Klint shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Black pinned against the cage. Black gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Black throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Klint can do anything to dispel that myth.
