PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Seinfeld (ranked 1739 p4p, 226 weight class) and Chris Fda (ranked 984 p4p, 136 weight class). Fda is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hate Me Now. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

I was talking to Seinfeld's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Jerome Seinfeld will probably get the nod.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fda isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Seinfeld stacks Fda on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Seinfeld!
Fda felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Seinfeld wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fda keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Fda's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Chris Fda has got the better of the ground game so far.
