The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pepijn tries to clinch but Veer is having none of it.

Pepijn closes the distance and clinches.

Pepijn is fighting off a takedown attempt but Veer is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pepijn to the mat. Pepijn regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Veer's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Pepijn wants to stand up but Veer is controlling him.

Pepijn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Veer defends well.
Pepijn tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Pepijn wants to control but Veer is having none of it.
