Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksey Borodin (ranked 921 p4p, 35 weight class) and Hello Bay (ranked 1268 p4p, 48 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Hello Bay was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bay pushes Borodin up against the cage in a clinch.
Bay makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

It looks like Aleksey Borodin has been cut.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Borodin.

Bay drags the fight down to the ground.

Bay feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bay pushes Borodin away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Borodin gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Borodin decides to take the fight back to the feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bay can do anything to dispel that myth.
Borodin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Borodin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Bay will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Borodin misses with a hook. Bay ducked under it nicely.
Borodin lunges at Bay with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bay's hand.
Borodin throws an overhand right that lands on Bay's shoulder, as Bay tries to avoid the shot.
