Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Trudo (ranked 3461 p4p, 387 weight class) and Inigo Lopez (ranked 5135 p4p, 530 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Trudo has managed to clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Trudo breaks from the clinch.

Lopez throws a nice looking combination but Trudo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Trudo clinches up against the cage.

Lopez tries to pull guard but Trudo forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Trudo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lopez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Trudo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lopez scrambles back to his feet.

Trudo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Trudo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lopez swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lopez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Trudo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Trudo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Lopez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Lopez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lopez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Trudo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lopez's head.
Lopez looks to land a combination but Trudo avoids it well.
Trudo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lopez.

Trudo throws a series of punches but Lopez avoids them all with ease.

Trudo is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Lopez closes the distance and clinches up with Trudo, looking for a takedown. Lopez pushes Trudo against the cage but Trudo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Trudo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lopez throws a left and a right that both miss

and Trudo counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Trudo.

Lopez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lopez throws a head kick that Trudo semi-blocks.
Trudo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lopez back to the cage. Trudo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Lopez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Lopez.
Trudo throws a low kick but Lopez moves out of range easily.
Lopez throws out a counter right but Trudo avoids it with no problem.
Trudo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Lopez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Trudo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lopez on the side of the head.

Lopez is rocked!
Trudo lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Lopez goes down and covers up as Trudo starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
