The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dmitrievich stalks Thompson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Thompson's face. Thompson staggers backwards, shaken.
Thompson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Ivashin Dmitrievich has been cut.
A shot to the body from Thompson misses
and Dmitrievich counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Thompson fails to land with a series of punches.
Patrick Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dmitrievich keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Thompson misses with a wild combination.
Donk. Dmitrievich catches Thompson right on the button with a cross.
Dmitrievich lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Thompson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A decent looking cross lands there for Dmitrievich.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thompson connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Dmitrievich covering up! Thompson comes in with a big uppercut and Dmitrievich goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
