Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Van Der Woodsen (ranked 4212 p4p, 424 weight class) and Joe Baker (ranked 4152 p4p, 418 weight class). Joe Baker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker tries to clinch up but Van Der Woodsen circles away and keeps his distance.
Van Der Woodsen half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Van Der Woodsen shoots in and gets a takedown into Baker's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Van Der Woodsen won't allow Baker to get back to his feet.
Baker keeping moving, preventing Van Der Woodsen from controlling successfully.
Van Der Woodsen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Van Der Woodsen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Van Der Woodsen passes into half guard.
Baker wants to control but Van Der Woodsen is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baker is looking to escape.
Van Der Woodsen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Baker is just riding it out for now. Van Der Woodsen eventually gives up the hold.
Baker is trying to maintain the position but Van Der Woodsen is very close to passing his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Van Der Woodsen maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Baker could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Van Der Woodsen has cracked it and Baker is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Van Der Woodsen!
