The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stalin throws out a powerful jab.
Verhoeven steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Stalin. That one must have hurt.
Verhoeven's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Stalin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Verhoeven scrambles back to his feet.
Verhoeven gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Stalin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Stalin working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Stalin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Verhoeven has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Verhoeven and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well Stalin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
