Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Burke Heimer (ranked 3520 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Pinaglabanan (ranked 4523 p4p, 0 weight class). Pinaglabanan has chosen Too Sexy! as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Burke Heimer !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, John Pinaglabanan!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heimer throws a hook to the side of Pinaglabanan's head but Pinaglabanan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Pinaglabanan wants to clinch.
Heimer went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Pinaglabanan looking to score a takedown here. Heimer is defending well but Pinaglabanan drives through and ends up in Heimer 's guard.
Heimer wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heimer is looking to sweep but instead, Pinaglabanan has passed into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Heimer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pinaglabanan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Heimer , as that shot connected.

Pinaglabanan pushes Heimer up against the cage in a clinch.
Pinaglabanan prevents a body shot from Heimer .
Heimer wants to get back to striking at distance but Pinaglabanan won't allow it.
Come on Heimer - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Heimer manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Pinaglabanan tries to score a body lock takedown but Heimer shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Burke Heimer will probably get the nod.
That's time! Heimer 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Pinaglabanan changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Heimer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pinaglabanan can do to turn this around?
Heimer stalks Pinaglabanan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pinaglabanan's face. Pinaglabanan staggers backwards, shaken.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Heimer has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Pinaglabanan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Pinaglabanan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Heimer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Heimer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That was a close second round but I would say that Burke Heimer will probably get the nod.

Pinaglabanan remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Burke Heimer .
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Heimer , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
