Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pipi Manu (ranked 3945 p4p, 470 weight class) and Rico Blake (ranked 5645 p4p, 606 weight class). Manu comes to the cage accompanied by 'We dont like Cricket'. Pipi Manu has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake has a takedown stuffed.
Blake lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Manu circles away quickly and effectively.
Manu shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Blake manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Manu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Manu is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Manu's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Manu keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Blake's head.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Blake is trying to control the position but Manu postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Blake has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Manu is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Manu closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Well, if Manu is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Manu working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Manu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Blake defends it well.

Manu is nestled in close to Blake, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Manu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Manu sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Blake's guard.

Manu has control of Blake's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Blake regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Blake is in a horrible position here. Manu smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Manu has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Manu has Blake pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Manu pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Blake tumbling to the mat - Manu dives into Blake's guard.

Blake bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Manu's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Manu is stinking the place up with his stalling.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Manu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
