The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goop throws a head kick that misses.
Perez works Goop's body with a nice hook.
Goop staying out of range there.
Perez misses with a hook. Goop ducked under it nicely.
Perez misses with a straight right.
Perez misses with a wild body shot.
Goop takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Perez changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Perez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Goop. Goop circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Goop shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Goop takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Goop slips a straight right by Perez.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Goop fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Perez to the ground. Goop is now in Perez's guard.

Goop tries to free his leg and advance position but Perez is retaining full guard.
Perez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

No joy there for Goop, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Goop gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Perez tries a body shot but Goop blocks it.
Perez has Goop pressed against the cage, preventing Goop from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Goop shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Perez napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Perez drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Goop's head, knocking him out cold! Perez is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
