Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cj Weller (ranked 4910 p4p, 544 weight class) and Medusa Grip (ranked 4782 p4p, 533 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Medusa Grip!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weller ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Good shot there by Weller.
Weller misses with a few strikes there.
Weller punishes Grip's body with a nice straight punch.
Grip takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Grip displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Weller throws out the jab.
Grip looks to score with a jab to the body but Weller is just out of range.
Weller takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Weller drives through and clinches with Grip against the cage.
Weller lands a left hand that snaps the head of Grip backwards.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Grip is trying to pull guard but Weller turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Weller has a couple of punches blocked by Grip.
Weller tries to break free but Grip pushes him back against the cage.

Weller breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Nice straight punches there by Weller. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Weller.

Weller bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Grip's head.
Weller keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've been informed that Grip has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Cj Weller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Medusa Grip.
Grip doesn't manage to clinch there - Weller circles away.

Grip has an Americana. Weller didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Grip is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Grip hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Medusa Grip!
Medusa Grip very nearly forgot to thank ZZ POPS amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
