The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pursov blocks a head kick by Kalyuta.

Kalyuta closes the distance and clinches.
Pursov is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Pursov manages to break the clinch.
Kalyuta tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pursov swivels and escapes.
Pursov could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pursov digs a good body shot into Kalyuta's ribs.
Kalyuta takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Pursov throws a nice looking combination but Kalyuta bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kalyuta with the counter takedown but Pursov avoids it easily.
Kalyuta slips a jab and a cross from Pursov.
Kalyuta shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Anton Pursov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yaroslav Kalyuta.
Pursov misses with a few strikes there.
Pursov throws a head kick that misses
and Kalyuta counters with a three punch combo that has Pursov backing up. Pursov nods at Kalyuta to acknowledge the strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pursov lands a big right hook! Kalyuta looks hurt but is still standing! Pursov lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Kalyuta falls down and Pursov dives in with a huge hammer fist! Kalyuta's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Pursov runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
