Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Jenzix Mendes (ranked 7572 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffery Kenderson (ranked 9102 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jenzix Mendes! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jeffery Kenderson!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Mendes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kenderson tries to avoid it but Mendes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kenderson to the ground. Kenderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mendes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kenderson but Kenderson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kenderson feints the counter takedown.

Mendes is trying to pull guard but Kenderson has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jenzix Mendes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kenderson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mendes is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mendes jumps guard.

Kenderson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kenderson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mendes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kenderson on the ground.
Mendes is trying to keep Kenderson in close.
Mendes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kenderson stands and throws Mendes's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Mendes is looking to regain half guard here but Kenderson keeps moving and retains side control.
Kenderson advances to full mount.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kenderson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Kenderson trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Mendes tries to hold on but Kenderson postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kenderson trying to control but Mendes is having none of it.
Kenderson wants to take Mendes's back here but Mendes is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Mendes reaches up to try and control the position but Kenderson seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Mendes rolls and tries to escape and now Kenderson has his back!

Kenderson is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Mendes is defending well though. Kenderson let's go of the attempt for now.
Mendes can't escape the position.

Kenderson has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Mendes is in real trouble here. Kenderson gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Mendes is tapping out! Kenderson wins by rear naked choke!
