Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neto Brito (ranked 6144 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Campbell (ranked 6242 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campbell steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Brito.
Brito defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Campbell .
Brito will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Campbell has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Campbell there as he acknowledges the shot.

It looks like Alex Campbell has been cut.
Brito dives in for a single leg takedown but Campbell sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Brito was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Brito postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Campbell is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brito, into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Campbell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Brito manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Campbell manages to get himself to full guard.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Campbell . He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
