Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Connaw McGregaw (ranked 3833 p4p, 313 weight class) and Kim Bo Myung (ranked 8465 p4p, 464 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Connaw McGregaw!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kim Bo Myung!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregaw scores with a leg kick.
McGregaw throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
McGregaw tries to clinch up but Myung circles away and keeps his distance.
McGregaw scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
McGregaw throws a head kick that misses.
McGregaw tries to clinch but Myung is having none of it.
Myung tries to move into range but McGregaw moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
McGregaw turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
McGregaw tests Myung's chin there with a solid looking shot.
McGregaw fails in his attempt to clinch.
Myung with the counter takedown but McGregaw avoids it easily.
Myung shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Myung rushes McGregaw and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
McGregaw trying to stall but Myung improves his position.
Myung pushes off an throws an elbow but McGregaw leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Myung breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Myung throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McGregaw's waist but McGregaw gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Myung off to one side.
McGregaw tries to clinch but Myung moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Myung misses with a double jab
and McGregaw counters with a lovely straight right hand!
McGregaw throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Myung throws out a counter right but McGregaw avoids it with no problem.
McGregaw tries to close the distance and clinch up but Myung swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McGregaw feints and then cracks Myung's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Myung down.
Myung thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on McGregaw if he has to take too many more of those.

Myung has taken the fight to the clinch.

McGregaw breaks from the clinch.
McGregaw stalks Myung and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Myung's face. Myung staggers backwards, shaken.
Connaw McGregaw is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Myung swats away the attempt to clinch by McGregaw.
Myung swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Myung throws a head kick that misses
and McGregaw counters with an outside leg kick.
Myung looks winded!
A solid leg kick lands there for McGregaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McGregaw fakes the leg kick and cracks Myung in the body.
McGregaw throws a one two combo.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McGregaw tries to clinch up but Myung circles away and keeps his distance.
McGregaw tries to clinch there but Myung circles away.
McGregaw tries to close the distance and clinch up but Myung swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Myung tries to counter with a clinch but McGregaw shakes him off and moves away.
McGregaw moves in looking to clinch but Myung pushes him off.
McGregaw really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McGregaw moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
McGregaw scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Myung doesn't seem bothered though.
McGregaw tries to clinch but Myung moves out of range.
McGregaw lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
McGregaw is looking to clinch.
McGregaw tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Myung manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Myung circles away from the clinch attempt.

Myung shoots in looking for a takedown. McGregaw tries to sprawl out of it but Myung keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McGregaw manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Connaw McGregaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kim Bo Myung.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McGregaw's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and McGregaw duly obliges.
McGregaw tries to clinch but Myung is having none of it.

Myung moves into range and clinches up with McGregaw.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
McGregaw is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Myung is keeping busy.
McGregaw can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

Myung has clasped his hands together around McGregaw's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
McGregaw tries to get back to half guard but can't.
McGregaw sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Myung blocks the strikes from McGregaw.
Myung is stalling here. McGregaw is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Myung seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and McGregaw has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McGregaw works to advance to full mount. Myung defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
McGregaw blocks Myung's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Myung can do anything to dispel that myth.
Myung tries to buck McGregaw off but McGregaw takes his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Connaw McGregaw dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


McGregaw connects with a solid leg kick.
Connaw McGregaw is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McGregaw fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
McGregaw wants to clinch.

Myung has McGregaw up against the cage in a clinch.
Myung fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Myung drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McGregaw gets the underhooks and prevents it.

McGregaw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McGregaw is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Myung can do to turn this around?
McGregaw wants to clinch up but Myung keeps it at a distance.

Connaw McGregaw is winning the standup battle so far.

McGregaw darts in and clinches Myung up against the cage.

Myung manages to break the clinch.

Myung shoots for a double leg takedown but McGregaw sprawls well. He's pushed Myung's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
McGregaw scores with a kick to the midsection.
McGregaw fails in his attempt to clinch.
Myung keeps the fight on the outside.
Myung is trying to counter with his kicks.
McGregaw lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
McGregaw is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
McGregaw scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
McGregaw doesn't manage to clinch there - Myung circles away.

McGregaw lands a left and a right that send Myung crashing to the mat, dazed. McGregaw thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Myung is rocked!


It looks like Kim Bo Myung has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Crunch! McGregaw slams his shin into Myung's torso.
McGregaw is pawing at Myung, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Myung's nose. Myung is badly hurt! McGregaw pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Myung tries desperately to hold on but McGregaw is relentless in his assault! As Myung receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls McGregaw away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Connaw McGregaw!
