And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeremy Twidt!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twidt shoots for a takedown but Dennis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Twidt instigates a clinch.
Dennis is trying to push Twidt away but Twidt has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Twidt keeps control of Dennis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Twidt is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Twidt drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dennis stops a takedown attempt from Twidt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dennis stands up from Twidt's guard - Dennis perhaps looking for a knockout.

Twidt has Dennis up against the cage in a clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Dennis has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Twidt clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

That was a close round but I would say that Quintin Dennis will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dennis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dennis showed some decent athleticism there.

Still in half guard, Dennis seems content to control.
Dennis wants to stand up but Twidt is controlling the position.

Quintin Dennis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Horrible takedown attempt by Twidt or perhaps it was just good defense by Dennis, which made it look bad.

Twidt lands a right hand that snaps the head of Dennis backwards.

Twidt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dennis tries to avoid it but Twidt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dennis to the ground. Dennis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dennis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Dennis stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Twidt to get to his feet.

Quintin Dennis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Quintin Dennis.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dennis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
