Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kidney Stone (ranked 572 p4p, 27 weight class) and Barack Obama (ranked 428 p4p, 19 weight class). Stone's entrance music is Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppord. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kidney Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Barack Obama!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Obama drives through and clinches with Stone against the cage.
Obama blocks a body shot from Stone.
Stone misses with a short punch on the inside.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Stone creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Obama swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Obama struggles to land a body shot inside as Stone controls his hands.
A head punch on the inside from Obama fails to land.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Obama.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Obama has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Stone.
Obama drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Obama misses with a short punch on the inside.
Stone working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Obama misses with a short punch on the inside.
Obama throws a head punch that misses.
Stone working aggressively here.
Stone blocking some punches.
Stone stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Obama goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Obama lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stone has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Stone prevents the takedown attempt.
Stone lands with a right to the head.
Obama tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
A hook to the body from Stone.
A body shot lands from Stone.
Obama misses with a punch on the inside.
Stone blocking some punches.
Stone throws a head punch that misses.
Stone swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Obama fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Obama lands an uppercut.
Stone is leaning against Obama and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Obama gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Obama wants to pass to mount but Stone is defending the position.

Obama is working for a kimura but Stone is defending it quite comfortably.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stone manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Obama wants to clinch
and Obama takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stone is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Stone swings widly with a right hand
and Obama counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Stone with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Obama shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Stone makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Stone clinches up with Obama and pushes him back against the cage.

Obama has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Stone regains guard immediately.
Stone wants to control but Obama passes easily into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stone trying to control but Obama postures up.
Obama with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Obama prevents Stone from improving his position.

Obama is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Obama passes the guard and advances to mount!

Stone defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Obama.

Obama tries to control but Stone wriggling away.
Stone wants to hold on but Obama pushes him away.

Obama goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Stone is on top in guard.
Stone has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Obama wants to sweep here but Stone controlling him for the moment.
Obama looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kidney Stone will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Obama shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Obama looking to pass the guard.
Obama works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Obama is looking to advance position but Stone won't allow it.
Stone is looking to control Obama's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stone avoid being mounted?
Obama passes the guard and advances to mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone is looking to improve his position but Obama isn't that keen on the idea.
Obama wants to control the pace but Stone is squirming around nicely.

Obama seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Stone is holding on tight.
Obama prevents Stone from getting the reversal.
Stone is working hard here to advance position.

Obama has control of Stone's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stone regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Obama avoids the attempt from Stone to control.

Obama can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stone is looking to escape.
Stone wants to control but Obama is having none of it.
Stone really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Barack Obama has got the better of the ground game so far.
Obama tries to control but Stone wriggling away.

Obama moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Stone has worked his arm free - good work by Stone!

Obama trying to control the action but Stone is working from the bottom.

Obama is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stone knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Stone can't do much from the bottom here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Obama is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Stone looks calm but he's in trouble here. Obama gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Stone is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Obama lets go of the hold and Stone can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Barack Obama!
Barack Obama really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Humanoid Nutrition (160Q for 180$) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
