Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Kravac (ranked 1404 p4p, 201 weight class) and Mike Reilly (ranked 910 p4p, 128 weight class). Reilly has chosen The Whispers - Rock Steady as his entrance music. Samuel Kravac could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mike Reilly's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Kravac!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Reilly!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kravac connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kravac misses with a lunging right hand
and Kravac takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Reilly avoids the body shot from Kravac.
Reilly moves forwards but Kravac connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kravac uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Kravac shoots in looking for a takedown but Reilly manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kravac's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kravac is defended easily by Reilly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kravac closes the distance and clinches up with Reilly, looking for a takedown. Kravac pushes Reilly against the cage but Reilly circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Reilly looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samuel Kravac. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kravac shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kravac showed some decent athleticism there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Reilly desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Reilly makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Reilly.
Reilly trying to keep a closed guard but Kravac is proving a slippery customer.

Kravac wants to control from the top but Reilly keeps moving.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kravac postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kravac slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Kravac won't allow Reilly to sweep him here.
Kravac showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Reilly controls Kravac momentarily but Kravac frees himself.
Reilly keeping moving, preventing Kravac from controlling successfully.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kravac accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kravac tries to free his leg and advance position but Reilly is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Reilly has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Reilly defending well as Kravac loads up on a big left hand.
Reilly was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Kravac shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Reilly counters by clinching up.
Reilly misses with the head strike.
Reilly lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kravac backwards.
Kravac jumps guard but Reilly stands there with Kravac around his waist. Kravac gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kravac manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Kravac has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kravac is trying to keep Reilly in close.

Kravac looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Reilly engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Kravac is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Reilly works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kravac tries to roll over but Reilly keeps him under control.
Reilly content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kravac is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Kravac misses with a takedown attempt - Reilly sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Kravac manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Reilly on his heels. He'll look to pass Reilly's guard now, I'm sure.

Let's hope that Reilly has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Reilly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kravac. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kravac is nestled in close to Reilly, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kravac is looking to take a break and control but Reilly is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've been hearing that Kravac has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Reilly controlling the position for now.
Kravac looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Reilly with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Reilly is trying is best to control the position here.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Reilly controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kravac wants to control but Reilly passes easily into half guard.

Kravac lands a right hook to the body.

Kravac shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kravac was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Reilly tries to improve position but can't.
Kravac is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Reilly can do to turn this around?

Kravac is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Reilly knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reilly can do anything to dispel that myth.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kravac connects with a nice short shot to Reilly's temple.

Kravac is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Reilly to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Reilly shrugs it off.

Kravac is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Reilly is surviving well by controlling Kravac's body position as best he can.

Samuel Kravac is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Reilly has hold of Kravac's hands but Kravac slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Reilly is trying to control but can't.

Kravac is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reilly doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kravac.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kravac, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
