Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arn Anderson (ranked 2904 p4p, 99 weight class) and Jeff Messer (ranked 2815 p4p, 94 weight class). Anderson comes to the cage accompanied by Thunderstruck-by ACDC. Messer has chosen Lumberjacks march-by Conway Twittie as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Topper Green and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson slips under a jab.
Messer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Anderson doesn't seem bothered though.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Anderson.
Messer looks to throw the jab but Anderson is out of range.
Anderson misses with an uppercut
and Messer counters with a two punch combo.
Messer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Anderson throws a jab when Messer was well out of range.
Messer misses with a hook. Anderson ducked under it nicely.
Anderson tries to counter with a takedown but Messer is quick to defend against it.
Messer lands a nice hook to Anderson's body. Anderson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Messer's corner calls for a 1-2. Messer obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Messer.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Messer lands an uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Messer lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Anderson backwards.
Anderson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Messer lands a shoulder strike.

Messer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Anderson looks to land a left hand but Messer moved out of range nicely.
Anderson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Messer connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Anderson looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Anderson trying to control but Messer is working from the bottom.
Anderson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Messer has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Makoa - Hilo Cheapest Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Anderson drops back looking for a leg! Messer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Messer manages to kick Anderson off! Anderson jumps back into Messer's guard.

Messer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Messer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anderson drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Anderson as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Messer screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Anderson! Nice submission victory there!

Post fight, Arn Anderson stared into the camera and said 'The ANDERSON ERA is in effect!!!! No one is safe from the terror of THE ENFORCER!!'.
Jeff Messer was interviewed post fight and said 'Back to the under brush for me to train...'.
