Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Vincent (ranked 6078 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neto Brito (ranked 7025 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin Vincent has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Martin Vincent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Neto Brito!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Vincent tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brito was well out of range. Poor timing from Vincent.
Brito lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Vincent could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Vincent decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Brito is trying to stand up here but Vincent is controlling him well.
Vincent looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Vincent wants to take a breather but Brito is having none of it.

Vincent looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Vincent wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brito keeps working.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vincent stops Brito from getting back to his feet.

Vincent is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Vincent is working for a submission of some sort.
Vincent perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Vincent is pressing down on Brito's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brito is holding on for now.
Vincent is looking to take a break and control but Brito is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Vincent's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Brito gets tackled into the cage by Vincent. Vincent maintains the clinch.
Vincent is pushing Brito up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Vincent pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Vincent's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Vincent takes a swing at Brito's ribcage but misses.

Brito tries to keep at a distance but Vincent has taken the fight into the clinch.

Brito is looking to break free of the clinch but Vincent has double underhooks.

Brito has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Vincent off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Brito is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vincent is controlling him.
Vincent wants to control from the top but Brito keeps moving.
Brito is looking to stand up but Vincent isn't so interested in that idea.

Brito really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vincent. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vincent is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brito can do to turn this around?

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vincent loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Vincent gets to his feet. Brito looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Brito gets caught napping as Vincent dives in and scores a takedown. Brito manages to retain guard.

Brito has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Vincent is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brito wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Vincent has him pressed against the cage.

Brito tries to keep at a distance but Vincent has taken the fight into the clinch.

Vincent manages to break the clinch.

Vincent throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brito tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Vincent is in Brito's guard.

Brito pushes Vincent off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Vincent breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Vincent misses with an uppercut. Brito saw that one coming.

Brito is looking to stand up but Vincent isn't so interested in that idea.

Vincent stands up and waves to Brito to follow him.
Neto Brito is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Neto Brito comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Vincent has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
