Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter Narz (ranked 1300 p4p, 124 weight class) and Ignatius Thistlewhite (ranked 4093 p4p, 323 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Narz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ignatius Thistlewhite!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thistlewhite walks into a stiff left hand from Narz.
Narz connects with a body shot that sends Thistlewhite's belly button to the back.
A big right from Narz misses.
Narz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thistlewhite moves away.
Narz scores with a jab to the jaw.


It looks like Ignatius Thistlewhite has been cut.

Thistlewhite fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Narz sprawls well initially but Thistlewhite persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Narz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Thistlewhite can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Narz has control of Thistlewhite's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Thistlewhite regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Narz is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Thistlewhite to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Thistlewhite shrugs it off.

Narz is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Thistlewhite knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Thistlewhite for a finish.

I really don't envy Thistlewhite right now.

That was a close round but I would say that Peter Narz will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thistlewhite drops back, looking for a kneebar! Narz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Narz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Narz!
